Description

Product Overview

The ISTRA24 high-performance ultra-small altitude radar has a PCBA size of only 45*45mm and a weight of just 6.5g, making it easy to integrate under the fuselage and arms of drones.

It features an original antenna design, ultra-efficient signal processing algorithms, and high-sensitivity real-time signal processing based on time-domain, frequency-domain, and phase synthesis. This significantly reduces the physical size of the radar module, enabling seamless integration into drone fuselage structures and opening up new possibilities for the drone industry.

This millimeter-wave altitude radar provides precise height measurement within a range of 0.2~50m (hovering below 0.5m for extended periods is not recommended), offering great convenience for drone hovering and terrain-following flight.

Altitude hold mode is one of the most critical flight control modes for drones, and a high-precision altitude radar is essential for stable operation.

Fine-tuning the throttle to maintain lift-weight balance is highly demanding for pilots, but this radar-enabled altitude hold mode drastically reduces operational complexity.

Once engaged, pilots only need to control the flight direction, eliminating the need to adjust lift, which significantly reduces pilot workload and aircraft risk.

Additionally, altitude hold enables better image capture during hovering, and supports stable terrain-following flight, enhancing drone applicability in scenarios like power line inspection.
